The Lighthouse Research Institute seeks qualified applicants
for the position of Associate Vision Research Investigator.
The position, available immediately, offers the opportunity
for both collaborative and independent psychophysical
research in vision rehabilitation. Initial collaborative
projects are in the areas of text legibility and functional
correlates of visual field deficits.
The Institute, which conducts psychophysical and psychosocial
studies of vision and vision impairment, occupies
spacious and well-equipped facilities in midtown Manhattan.
The qualified candidate should have a doctoral degree in a
relevant discipline, excellent computer graphic programming
skills, familiarity with UNIX, DOS, and C, and an interest in
applied vision research. Experience with image processing
and vision modeling would also be helpful.
