------------------------- HOW TO GET TO REGENSBURG ---------------------
The closest international airport is MUNICH. There is, however, a good train connection from FRANKFURT airport also, where inter-city trains depart at the subway level every hour to get you to Regensburg within 3 hours (cost 94,-- DM, approx. 60,-- US $, various reductions apply, for example if you take a round trip for more than one person).
>From the (preferred) MUNICH airport, it is most convenient to take a bus (the "REGENSBURG-AIRPORT EXPRESS") that will get you to Regensburg in 1.5 hours (cost 28,-- DM, approx. 20,-- $). You may also take a local bus to the Freising railroad station, and continue via train to Regensburg (cost is roughly the same).
Both alternatives will get you to the Regensburg train station. You may continue by taxi or bus from there.
We shall provide detailed schedules when the time comes.
