Dear colleagues,
For our studies in goldfish and human color vision we need a
spectrophotometer for transmission and remission measurements. For
the goldfish and other animals the ultraviolet spectral range between
300 and 400 nm has to be included (in addition to the 400 to 800 nm
range). At the moment we use a Unicam SP 1800 ultraviolet
spectrometer which is more than 20 years old. As we are afraid that
it will break down sooner or later, we are looking for a modern
replacement.
We have heard about a Compact-Array-Spectrometer CAS 140
available from Rhode & Schwarz (now: Instrument Systems) which
seems to be nice and expensive. Does anyone have experience with
this system or is there another attractive possibility?
I would be very grateful to get advice and new ideas.
