Dear Hoover,

I wonder if you could possibly circulate the enclosed
notice. It may seem a little parochial, but a
substantial fraction of CVNet members are former
members of the Craik Club, and this is our best
way of catching people who are passing through Europe
at the time.

50th Anniversary of the death of Kenneth Craik

Kenneth Craik, then aged 30, was killed on 7th May
1945, the eve of VE Day. To mark the anniversary,
a half-day meeting will be held in Cambridge, at the
Department of Experimental Psychology, on the
afternoon of Saturday, 6th May coming. The meeting
will begin with a lunch at 12.30 and conclude after
tea. There will be talks - in part from those who
personally knew Craik - about his remarkable
personality, about his contributions to visual
science and to experimental psychology, and about
later developments of his ideas..

All present and former officers and members of the
Kenneth Craik Club who are in the vicinity of
Cambridge on May 6 are warmly invited to attend -
as is anyone else interested in Craik's work.
There is no charge, but it is necessary to register in
advance. For further details, please contact
Adar Pelah ap114@cam.ac.uk or John Mollon
jm123@phx.cam.ac.uk.

Many thanks, John Mollon
