FINAL CALL FOR PAPERS
ENA Satellite symposium
The dynamics of the outer retina: a functional description based
on morphology, physiology and neural modelling
1 and 2 September 1995
Academic Medical Centre =20
University of Amsterdam =20
Amsterdam
The Netherlands
Organizers: M. Kamermans and H. Spekreijse
Sponsor: The committee of Biology & Biophysics of the Royal
Academy of arts and Sciences and the Human Frontier Science
Program
International Organizing Committee: F.S. Werblin (USA); S. Usui
(Japan); Chr. Neumeyer (Germany); W.K. Stell (Canada)
Topics: This symposium will deal with the information processing
in the distal layers of the vertebrate retina. The aim of this
symposium is to discuses the connectivity in and the modulation
and adaptation of the network of the photoreceptors, horizontal
cells and the bipolar cells in the vertebrate retina. Sessions
will be devoted to the electrophysiology and morphology of the
outer retina, to computational modelling of the outer retina and
to behavioral experiments.=20
