Dear researchers:
Considering the remarkable feedback from the CVNET regarding
Michael Hucka's recent enquiry on Gabor and RFs, I would like
to observe the following:
1. I've read a relatively recent work (I'm still trying to
find the full reference) stating that wavelet-RFs seem to
provide a better model for the RFs in the visual cortex.
Does anybody have an oppinion about that?
2. I would like to know about works aimed at investigating the
interplay between the neural morphology and function. It
seems such an endeavor has mostly concentrated on retinal
ganglion cells. Does anybody know about investigations in
the visual cortex or any other region? I would also appreciate
to hear about related simulations and models, as well as
softwares and techniques for morphometric characterization.
The replies to this message will be posted in CVNET opportunely.
I thank you in advance for your kind attention.
Best regards, Luciano
