POST-DOCTORAL POSITION AVAILABLE
A post-doctoral position has become available in the McGill Vision
Research Unit in Montreal. The McGill Vision Unit is a high profile
research establishment, containing a number of labs specializing in
various aspects of vision, e.g. Curtis Baker - motion neurophysiology
and psychophysics, Robert Hess - amblyopia, spatial and temporal
processing, Fred Kingdom - colour, texture and brightness processing,
Kathy Mullen - colour vision. The specific project for which the
position is available deals with the role of colour vision in binocular
integration (e.g. stereopsis and binocular feature matching), and the
role of colour vision in helping detect camouflaged objects defined by
motion, depth and form. Applicants with previous experience in colour
psychophysics and/or the use of the VSG graphics card are especially
welcome to apply. Salary will be based on the MRC scale, which starts
at $23,500 Canadian.
