Post-Doctoral Neuroscience Research Assistant

Applications are invited for the above post to work on a project entitled THE
ROLE OF THE ARGININE/NITRIC OXIDE SYSTEM IN THALAMIC SENSORY TRANSMISSION. The
project is funded by the Human Frontier Science Program for three years and
will
involve the use of electrophysiological, pharmacological, and neurochemical
techniques. Experience of such techniques and an interest in the study of
sensory neurobiology and/or neuroactive amino acids and nitric oxide would
be an
advantage. The Institute has a rapidly expanding research programme, including
neuroscience, and provides a stimulating and modern research environment.

The post is for 36 months. Starting salary up to 21,000 (UK pounds)
according to
experience and qualifications on the RA1A scale.
