POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN VISUAL PSYCHOPHYSICS OR NEUROSCIENCE

Individual sought to join collaborative work in one or more of the
following areas.
VISUAL PSYCHOPHYSICS:
>> Assessment of visual dysfunction in glaucoma and relation of
visual losses to laser scanning measurements of retinal
topography and nerve fiber layer properties.
>> Spatial interactions, adaptation and gain control.
>> Visual search and/or image segmentation including
performance with degraded images and natural scenes.
VISUAL NEUROSCIENCE:
>> Central visual system development and plasticity (single-
unit electrophysiology).
>> Role of nitric oxide in retinal and central visual system
development/plasticity.
Collaboration within the vision group in other areas possible as
well. Position available October 1. NIH pay scale. Position is
funded for 1 year with the expectation that the applicant will
obtain funding beyond that time.
The University of Louisville has a rapidly expanding vision
research program including researchers in visual cognition,
psychophysics, clinical research, electrophysiology, neuroscience
and molecular biology.
