POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS AVAILABLE
CENTER FOR VISUAL SCIENCE, UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER
The Center for Visual Science at the University of Rochester announces
availability of several postdoctoral positions. Training at the Center is
interdisciplinary and the emphasis is on approaches that link visual
performance to underlying neural mechanisms. Research opportunities are in
the following areas: optical limits of visual performance, the neural
analysis of spatiotemporal and chromatic information, cortical mechanisms
of motion and shape perception, visual memory, the neural control of eye
movements, balance and orientation in space, computational models of
perceptual and cognitive architectures, cognitive control of visually
guided movements, and visuomotor coordination in primates and robots. This
research is being carried out in the laboratories of the following
investigators: Richard Aslin, Dana Ballard, Charles Duffy, Robert Emerson,
Robbie Jacobs, Mary Hayhoe, Peter Lennie, Walter Makous, William Merigan,
Gary Paige, Tatiana Pasternak, Marc Schieber, and David Williams. More
