Hoover,
Would you please post the following announcement on the cvnet?
Thanks,
Mike
POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN VISUAL NEUROSCIENCE. A postdoctoral position
is available to study cortical mechanisms of visual perception in the
alert monkey. We are interested in how information represented in the
extrastriate visual cortex comes to influence neural circuitry
governing behavior. We record single and multiunit activity in
frontal cortex while monkeys perform visual psychophysics. The fellow
will gain experience in cortical microstimulation, microinjection,
psychophysics and computational modeling. The position is available
Feb. 1, 1996. Applicants should have prior experience in
electrophysiology and some familiarity with computers (C, unix,
matlab). The laboratory is located in the Department of Physiology
and Biophysics and the University of Washington Regional Primate
Research Center. The environment boasts outstanding opportunities for
interaction with faculty in systems, cellular and visual neuroscience.
