Subject: Subject: HELP: Colour Perception versus Size

[This request was originally posted to comp.ai.vision]

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find any references
concerning the relationship between perceivable colour-differences (JNDs)
and the size of the stimulus. E.g. the CIELAB/CIELUV colour-difference
formula assume an ideal stimulus size of 2 degrees of the observer's field
of view. But how do these colour differences change with the size of the
stimulus, e.g. both at 0.5 degrees, or different stimulus sizes, e.g. one
at 2 deg and the other at 0.5 deg?

If anyone can suggest somewhere to look for this information, then I would
greatly appreciate their assistance.

Many thanks in advance,

Martin.
