A full-time research position is available in the area of binocular slant
and curvature perception; especially the role played by other information
in disambiguating stereoscopic information. Another area of the project is
the relationship between stereo and motion parallax analogues. The
position is funded by an Australian Research Council grant to Professor
Barbara Gillam at the School of Psychology, University of New South Wales,
located in Sydney, Australia. Expected salary is A$38,094. The position
is initially for two years with the possibility of a further extension
depending on grant funding. Applicants should have a PhD (at least
submitted) in a relevant field, experience in visual psychophysics, and
some programming experience relevant to vision research. The lab has Macs,
PCs and a Silicon Graphics workstation. Starting date is March or April
1996 or as soon as possible thereafter. Applications should be sent by
