POST-DOCTORAL POSITION (re-advertisement)
A position is available for a psychologist to join a
study investigating the relationship between visual and cognitive
development in infants and young children with Down's Syndrome.
The study will follow an established cohort of children in South and
West Wales, monitoring cognitive development (by Bayley Scales and
other appropriate measures) alongside visual function (assessed by an
Optometrist, who is already appointed). The study involves home
visits, so a UK driving licence is essential.
The project is in collaboration with the Welsh Centre for Learning
Disability, University of Wales College of Medicine. There will be
ample opportunity for other collaborative research.
The post is funded by the MRC, for three years, and is available to
start immediately. Closing date for applications will be April 19th.
