A postdoctoral fellowship in the field of human visual psychophysics in the
Department of Ophthalmology at the University of British Columbia is
available on or after May 1, 1996. The general research theme is temporal
processing in the normal, diseased or developing visual system. Specific
projects focus on dyslexia, amblyopia and basic mechanisms of motion
perception. There will also be opportunity to work on auditory temporal
processing in collaboration with Max Cynader.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in experimental psychology or a related field,
knowledge of psychophysical methods and experience programming in C.
Experience working with children and/or clinical patients would be an
asset.
This is a 1-year fellowship with the possibility of renewal for a second
year. The salary is $29,000 CDN per year.
