POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Applications are invited for a three year postdoctoral position on a
BBSRC funded project to study nonlinearities in early human visual
processing. Applicants should have a higher degree in Psychology,
Neuroscience, or a related discipline. Preference will be given to candidates
with experience of graphics programming and visual psychophysics.
The appointment is available from July 1st 1996. Starting salary will be
according to qualifications and experience on the RA1A scale
(14,317-21,519 UK pounds).
At Durham there is a newly-formed Centre for Vision and Visual Cognition
(CVVC). There are five faculty members and two research fellows working in
vision. We have well-equipped psychophysical labs and good eye movement
recording facilities (including a Purkinje eye tracker). The candidate will
have good opportunities for collaborative research. Further
