Dear Hoover,

I am interested in measuring the surface of the human body by remote
non-contact methods. What I would like to know is does anyone have
any information about the best wavelength of light to illuminate skin
so this task can be performed. So far most of the research papers I
have looked at deal with the absorption rate of light by skin - and
there seems to be very little work dealing with the reflective
characteristics of various skin types.

Yours Hopefully,

Andrew
