CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR
THE ATWELL LOW VISION RESEARCH AWARD
Each year the Low Vision Research Group selects an ARVO
poster or presentation for The Atwell Award. The award
consists of $500 and a plaque. The nominees should be a "young
investigators", within 5 years of a degree. The posters or
presentations should relate to low vision rehabilitation and
might include, for example, studies of the relationship between
vision and performance, the development of assessment
procedures designed to select rehabilitation devices and
interventions or the development of treatments, devices and
interventions that improve performance of specific tasks or
improve quality of life.
Individuals can nominate themselves and the paper can be
co-authored but should be substantially work of the nominee.
The nomination should indicate when and where the
individual's last degree was granted and it should indicate
the title of the paper/poster and the program #.
