Dear Hoover

POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN VISUAL NEUROPHYSIOLOGY AND PSYCHOPHYSICS

Funds are available for a postdoctoral position (BATIIa) in my
laboratory beginning on or about 1st. September 1996 for 2 years in the
first instance. The individual will be required to participate in
recordings from ganglion cells in anesthetised macaques, independently
perform neurophysiological data analysis and modelling, and develop
programs for and carry out related psychophysical experiments. The main
focus of interest concerns retinal signals for hyperacuity and other
spatial vision tasks, analysed from a neurometric standpoint.
Neurophysiological experience and experience in C programming on a
MacIntosh would be an asset.

Goettingen is an old University town set in the center of Germany
in rolling countryside. My lab is part of a small systems neurobiology
group in the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry.

Those interested please contact me at
blee@chroma.uchicago.edu
or at ARVO, Villas by the Sea or through the message center.
