Research Scientist in Myopia and/or the Visual Sciences
Applicants are invited for an academic faculty position with a new research
institute in Singapore.
Focus will be on myopia, glaucoma, and ocular diseases unique to or
prevalent in the Asian eye.
Excellent opportunities for clinical research (including epidemiology) as
well as basic science.
The Singapore Eye Research Institute works conjointly with the Singapore
National Eye Centre, its sister institution, and with the National
University of Singapore.
We also work closely with the School Health Service and the Defence Medical
Research Institute on clinical myopia research.
Other collaborators include the Wilmer Institute of Johns Hopkins
University, Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, the Chinese University of
Hong Kong, the New England College of Optometry, LSU Eye Center the New York
Eye & Ear Infirmary, and Univ. of Florida.
Applicants should have an MD, Ph.D, or OD in a biomedical or
physical sciences subject, or an equivalent background.
