Position: Assistant Research Professor
Laboratory of Vision Research and Department of Psychology
Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey
New Brunswick, New Jersey

Applications are invited for a non-tenure track position as an
Assistant Research Professor at Rutgers University for one year. The
position combines teaching and research responsibilities, and it will
be a joint appointment in the Laboratory of Vision Research (headed
by Bela Julesz) and the Department of Psychology (chaired by Charles
Flaherty). The research projects will be carried out in the Laboratory
of Vision Research, and the courses (Sensation and Perception, and
Topics in Visual Perception) will be taught to students in the
Department of Psychology. Both units have active groups of vision
scientists whose research interests span a wide range of topics.
Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in spatial
vision, binocular vision, perceptual learning and plasticity, and
visual attention. Experience in programming in C is highly
desirable.
