Hi Hoover,
I'd appreciate your posting the following request.
Thanks,
Randolph
CVNET folks,
I'm interested in revising my reading list for a graduate seminar titled
"Classics in Vision" (taught every couple of years). The goals of the
course are to survey classic papers in different areas of visual science
and to evaluate how those areas have evolved since publication of those
papers. Areas covered include neuroanatomy, neurophysiology,
psychophysics/perception and cognition. There's no "time-frame" that
defines a classic - last time the course was offered, I included material
from the 19th and 20th centuries. (A partial listing of papers used last
time the course was offered can be found on my WWW page:
http://www.vanderbilt.edu/AnS/psychology/cogsci/blake/blake.html
I am seeking "nominations" for the classics list - please drop me an email
with the reference for paper(s) you believe should be included in such a
course. Remember to send responses to my email
(blaker@ctrvax.vanderbilt.edu); don't use the REPLY command to this
posting.
I will compile the responses to this query and post them on CVNET and on
the Web.
