POSTDOOCTORAL FELLOW WANTED:
We are looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow to work in Montreal, Canada on a
project funded by the Medical Research Council of Canada to study the
optical effects of laser photorefractive keretectomy. The project will
involve close collaboration
between Prof. Isabelle Brunette and Prof. Pierre Simonet of the
Universite de Montreal and Prof. Melanie Campbell of the University of
Waterloo. The appointment will be for one year initially,
renewable for a second year. The salary will be between $C25,000. and
$C30,000. per year.
The ideal candidate will have good communication skills in English or
French with a knowledge of the other language. A Ph.D. in Vision Science
is preferred with a knowledge of optics of the eye and of optical image
quality as well as some computing ability. The project will involve both
experimentation and analysis. The position could start any time prior to

ETUDIANT POST-DOCTORAL RECHERCHE:
Nous sommes a la recherche d'un etudiant Post-Doctoral pour un projet
subventionne par la Conseil des recherches medicales du Canada traitant
des effets optiques de la keratectomie photorefractive par laser excimer.
Ce projet sera realise a Montreal, Canada, en collabaration avec les
professeurs Isabelle Brunette et Pierre Simonet de l'Universite de
Montreal et Melanie Campbell de l'Universite de Waterloo, Ontario. Ce
stage est d'une duree d'un an avec possibilite d'une prolongation pour
une deuxieme annee. La salarie sera d'environ 25 000 $ CAN. a 30 000 $
CAN. par annee.
Le candidat doit parler francais ou anglais. Un PhD en science de la
vision avec des connaissances de l'optique de l'oeil, de la qualite de
l'image optique, ainsi qu'en informatique serait prefere. Le projet
comprend l'experimentation et l'analyse des donnees.
Ce stage peut debuter immediatement ou avant le ler septembre 1996.
