POSTDOCTORAL POSITION. Available in October or November.
Psychophysical testing of naive subjects to measure macular pigmentation and
visual sensitivity relevant to the biology of the fovea, effects of aging,
and prevention of disease. See Hammond et al., Vision Research
36:2001-2012, also ARVO 1996 abstracts by Hammond et al., p S666 and
Edwards et al. p S914 in Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science, Vol
37 Suppl.
Must be comfortable with Maxwellian view optical systems.
Project includes collaborative component with Human Nutrition Research
Center at Tufts University to assess effects of nutritional intervention.
Industrial support available. Candidates need not be limited by NRSA
requirements.
