Job Opening:

Computer Analyst/Programmer

A position is now open for a Computer Analyst/Programmer in the Vanderbilt
Vision Research Center. This person will assist and advise faculty and
graduate students in developing software and hardware for research on a
wide range of topics in contemporary vision research. Skills are needed in
translating experimental requirements into software for both Macintosh and
PC-compatible computers, used for real-time control of video and other
output devices and for collecting data from both digital and analog inputs.
Knowledge of C/C++ language is necessary. Familiarity with computer
networking is also desirable.

The Vanderbilt Vision Research Center is a group of active investigators
including 14 faculty in the departments of Psychology, Cell Biology,
Electrical Engineering, and Education, engaged in behavioral,
physiological, and anatomical experiments on a range of contemporary topics
including both psychophysics and neuroscience. The position is funded in
part by a Vision Core Grant from the National Eye Institute.

Salary: $33,300 or above, depending on qualifications and experience.
