The Department of Psychology of LOYOLA UNIVERSITY CHICAGO
invites applications for a tenure track position (pending final approval) at
the level of Assistant Professor in the area of PERCEPTION, beginning
August, 1997. The candidate should have a doctoral degree and
research record in higher-order perceptual processes, attention or early
information processing. The appointee will be expected to teach
undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses in cognitive psychology.
Quantitative expertise and the willingness to teach quantitative courses
is desirable. The appointee will join an active Graduate Program in
Perception. The faculty include:

Rich Bowen (spatial, temporal and color vision)
Toby Dye (auditory information processing, binaural hearing)
Dick Fay (psychophysical and electrophysiology of the fish auditory
system)
Anne Sutter (visual texture processing and texture segregation)
Bill Yost (auditory perception, psychoacoustics)

In addition, the Parmly Hearing Institute of Loyola University Chicago is an
internationally recognized center for basic research in sensory science.
