The Fifth Hans-Lukas Teuber Symposium: "Surface Perception"

This symposium will draw together researchers from the fields of
psychophysics, neurophysiology, and computation; topics will include
segmentation, occlusion, transparency, grouping, and depth. Speakers
will include: E. Adelson, R. Andersen, B. Anderson, H. Bulthoff, P.
Cavanagh, W. Freeman, W. Gerbino, C. Gilbert, A. Gilchrist, R. von der
Heydt, P. Kellman, D. Kersten, J. Koenderink, J. Malik, E. Mingolla,
D. Mumford, K. Nakayama, M. Paradiso, P. Perona, T. Sejnowski, S.
Shafer, R. Shapley, G. Stoner, J. Todd, L. Welch, K. Zipser, and S.
Zucker.
The symposium will be held from Friday to Sunday, October 25-27, 1996.
Friday sessions will run from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm; and Saturday and
Sunday sessions will run from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. If you plan to
attend, please register by sending your name and e-mail address to:
Catherine Cooper (cooper@psyche.mit.edu). There is no charge for
registration.
We can accept a small number of submitted posters, on a first-come/
first-serve basis, for presentation at the Teuber Symposium. If you
wish to present a poster, please enclose an abstract with your message
when you register. Posters must measure no more than 4'x4'.
