General Information The Child Vision Research Society (CVRS) comprises
researchers from many different countries, interested on the development
of vision in infancy and early childhood, under normal and abnormal
condition. A wide range of disciplines, including anatomy, physiology,
neurology, psychology, ophthalmology, rehabilitation are represented in
the CVRS. A scientific meeting is organized every second year, to provide
an opportunity for exchanging new ideas and findings between basic
scientists and clinicians concerned with vision in infants and children.
Active participation of CVRS and non-CVRS members attending the meeting is
encouraged, by means of short oral presentations and posters.=20

Scientific Program

Language
The official language of the meeting will be English. No provision for
translation facilities will be made.

The final program will contain special lectures, oral communications and
posters on the main topics listed above and on other topics suggested by th=

participants.

Submission of Abstracts
An abstract form for oral presentations and posters is enclosed. While the
authors are asked to indicate their preference, the final decision will be
made by the programme committee. The abstracts, typed on one side of A4
format (Times New Roman 12, 1.5 lined), have to be submitted by mail. You
are also required to add a floppy disk with your text (preferably Microsoft
Word for Windows).=20

Those who wish to attend the meeting should fill the enclosed form and
return it to the organizers with the appropriate payment.

Payment of the registration fee should be made in Italian Lire (Lit) only.

Confirmation
Upon receiving the registration form and the payment, a confirmation
(receipt) will be sent to each applicant.

Cancellation
Cancellations should be made in writing to the organizers. If cancellations
are received by May 15, 1997, 75 % of the total will be refunded. No
refunding will be possible after that date.=20

The Venue
The meeting will be held at the=20
Main Lecture Hall, Centro Studi Cassa di Risparmio di Pisa
Ex-Monastero delle Benedettine
Lungarno Sonnino, 19 Pisa.
(in the centre of Pisa, a 10 minute walk from the Leaning Tower)

The meeting is planned to open on Friday June 6, at 14.00 and close on
Sunday June 8, at 18.00.

Transportation
Pisa can be reached by car, train and air. Pisa airport "Galileo Galilei"
has daily flights to and from Rome, Milan, Frankfurt, Paris, London.=20

Accommodation=20
A list of hotels, with their prices for participants to the meeting, will b=

sent to each applicant, together with the confirmation of receiving the
application form. Hotel prices will range approximately from Lit.70.000
(small pension) to Lit.250.000 (four stars hotel) for one night, single roo=

with toilet and breakfast.
