The Center for Computing Technology is seeking a scientific assistant
for a cooperation project with Daimler-Benz Aerospace (DASA) in Bremen
for a two year period starting in January 97.
DASA is developing a new range-camera, which exells in the precision and
the amount of acquired data. The development of methods for determinings
and interpreting suitable landmakrs of indoor scences is being stressed.
The goal of the close cooperation of the Center for Computing Technology
and DASA is the control of a service robot by the interpretation of
high-value range-images.
The position belongs to the image processing department of the Center
for Computing Technology of the University of Bremen.
Required qualifications:
- Graduated in computer science or in a comparable subject,
- Excellent experience in the area of low-level image processing,
- Knowledge in system design in cooperation with ohter disciplines,
- Excellent experience in the programming languages C, C++ and Java.
The salary being offered for this half position is BATIb/2 or BATIIa/2
and is dependent on the applicants level of qualification. The
possibility of further qualification, e.g. to German PhD would be
supported.
