POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP
The Pediatric Eye Disorders Laboratory of the Retina Foundation of the =
Southwest is seeking a post-doctoral fellow for a two to three period =
starting in spring or early summer 1997. The Retina Foundation of the =
Southwest is an independent non-profit research institution with 5 =
laboratories working in close collaboration with ophthalmologists on eye =
disorders which are poorly understood or which are presently =
untreatable. The Pediatric Eye Disorders Laboratory conducts projects =
related to nomal visual development, congenital and early onset =
amblyogenic conditions, eye disorders associated with preterm birth, and =
the role of nutrition in promoting optimal eye and brain development. =
Psychophysical, electrophysiological, and image analysis approaches are =
in use in the Pediatric Eye Disorders Laboratory.=20
Required qualifications:
- PhD or equivalent in visual science
- Experience in infant testing and/or non-invasive electrophysiology
- Strong interest in clinical issues
The salary being offered is in line with current NIH post-doctoral =
funding standards.
