The University invites applications for the position of Lecturer (Three
Year Term) in Optometry.
The Department of Optometry and Vision Science is a department in the
Faculty of Science and conducts a four year undergraduate course leading to
the degree of Bachelor of Optometry and postgraduate studies for the degree
of Master of Science (Optometry) and Doctor of Philosophy.
Applicants must have an optometric qualification and a higher degree in
Optometry, Visual Science or a related discipline. It is expected that the
successful applicant will have a strong record of research and teaching in
experimental or clinical optometry. A background in contact lens practice
would be an advantage.
Commencing salary will be NZ$44,250-NZ$53,250 per annum.
