A position (postdoc or research assistant/technician depending on person's
qualifications and goals) is available in a lab studying mouse models of
inherited retinal degeneration. The appropriate candidate is supposed to
participate in designing the most informative electroretinographic (ERG)
protocols, be responsible for ERG testing transgenic and normal
mice,implement experimental therapeutic protocols (what means mainly
intraocular injections of prospective drugs).
This job demands a solid basic science background (biology, physics,
math). Prior experience with electrophysiology, molecular biology,
histology would be helpful but not neccessary.
This job is a good opportunity to get into the field of visual
neuroscience.
