Research Post in Vision, Ocular-Motor Control and Tele-presence

Applications are invited for a research post in the Dept of Psychology for
research on supporting natural eye movements in tele-remote vision.
Applicants should have a strong background in vision or perception research
and a specific knowledge of ocular-motor control would be particularly
welcome. The primary role will be empirical research into vergence and
accommodation responses using a remote binocular robot head and will
involve direct collaboration with the Department of Cybernetics. The
successful applicant will join a team of researchers working on a range of
projects exploring perception with Virtual Environment systems based on
both PC and SGI hardware.
Appointment on Research 1A scale Salary range 14,317 - 21,519 sterling
p.a. for 36 months
