Call for Papers

TECHNICAL SESSION: Visual Information Retrieval

IN

International Conference on Imaging Science, Systems, and Technology
CISST'97

June 30 - July 2, 1997
Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Advances in technology have resulted in huge archives of images and
videos in diverse application areas such as medicine, remote sensing,
industry, engineering, entertainment, education and on-line information
services. To exploit the value of the collection, there is a need to
effectively organise and retrieve visual data. This session aim to
bring a forum for researchers in the areas of indexing, retrieval
and presenting visual information. Papers on visual representation,
multi-dimensional feature indexing, content-based visual information
retrieval, storage design and management for image and video archiving,
and applications and systems are particularly welcome.

SUBMISSION:

Please submit (hardcopy or postscript) 4 copies of the extended
