Research Assistant in Optometry.

The appointee for this position, funded by The Guide Dogs for the Blind
Association, will join a research program developing a new type of
resolution perimetry which measures peripheral acuity under photopic and
scotopic conditions in different types of glaucoma.
The research will be undertaken partly within the Optometry Clinic at
the University of Ulster in Coleraine and partly in the Glaucoma Clinics
at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

Requirements.
Applicants should have a first or upper second class honours degree in
optometry or equivalent and membership of the College of Optometrists.
The successful applicant will be expected to register for a higher
degree in the University of Ulster.
The ability to handle ophthalmic patients in a competent manner is
required.
The post is tenable for 12 months in the first instance but may be
renewable for up to a total of 33 months.

Salary #14,317 plus superannuation and NI.
