Undergraduate Summer Research at NYU
The Center for Neural Science at New York University is currently
accepting applications for the 1997 Hughes Undergraduate Summer
Research Program in Neural Science. Undergraduates completing their
junior year are invited to apply. The program will provide $2,500
stipends for twelve students. Funds are also available for room and
board and travel to and from New York City. The 9-week program begins
June 9, 1997 and ends August 8, 1997. Application deadline: February
14, 1997.
Requirements:
- Applicants should have strong academic records with courses in
biology, mathematics, chemistry and psychology and a GPA of at least
3.0. Undergraduates completing their Junior year at any US College or
University may apply.
Research opportunities include:
- developmental neurobiology
- sensory neurophysiology
- neural basis of behavior
- computational neuroscience
- psychophysics of vision
- theories of neural networks
