Optometry Clinic Director.
Applicants for the post must be members or Fellows of the College of
Optometrists with at least two years registration with the UK General
Optical Council.
Further academic (e.g. MSc, PhD) or clinical (e.g. DCLP, Fellowship by
examination) qualifications would be desirable along with experience of
teaching and supervising within a clinical optometry setting. It is
expected that the successful applicant will become involved in research
projects within the Optometry Clinic and the Vision Science Research
Group within the School. Academic status will be conferred if
appropriate.
The School of Biomedical Sciences which contains the Optometry program
and the Vision Science Research Group achieved a 5*(star) grading in the
last Research Assessment Exercise.
Salary in the Lecturer scale up to #27,151p.a. depending on experience.
