POST-DOCTORAL POSITION
AB IOF, the Institute of Optical Research in Stockholm, Sweden, is an =20=
industry
partner for research projects in optics. Our employees, most of which =20=
hold an MSc
or PhD, offer the industry a high and broad competence in all fields =20=
related to optics.
We have a large international contact network and a close collaboration =

with Swedish universities.
Applicants are invited for a post-doctoral position in our vision group.=
=20
The work
includes developing vision models for image discrimination, with =20
applications to
image compression and display system development. It also includes =20
conducting
psychophysical experiments. The applicant's background could be in eithe=
r =20
computer
engineering or experimental psychology.
The position is for six months, with the possibility of extension to on=
e =20
and a half years.
Starting date for the position is 1 July 1997, or as soon as possible. =
=20
