There are two papers by Robert I.Reynolds on the microgenesis
(development of illusions with the first few hundred msec.) of the
Ponzo, the Zoellner, and the subjective contour illusions:
1. Reynolds, R.I.(1978). The microgenetic development of the Ponzo and
Zoellner illusions. Perception & Psychophysics, 23, 231-236.
2. Reynolds, R.I.(1981). Perception of an illusory contour as a
function of processing time. Perception, 10, 107-115.
I wish to know whether similar experiments have been done on other
illusions, especially the Mueller-Lyer and the Ebinghaus illusions.
I'd greatly appreciate if someone can give me some references on this.
