Postdoctoral Position in Myopia Research
Children's Vision Laboratory, New England College of Optometry, Boston, =

A postdoctoral position in Jane Gwiazda's laboratory is currently =
available. The research program is focused on visual development in =
children, especially the development of myopia. Current projects =
involve measurements of accommodation, vergence, and blur detection in =
children, and their relationship to the development and progression of =
myopia. A pilot study on genetics of myopia is also underway. The =
laboratory is part of the larger Myopia Research Center at the New =
England College of Optometry.=20
Applicants should have prior research experience in visual development =
and/or mechanisms of myopia. Experience in psychophysical testing of =
children would be helpful. The position is available for a minimum of =
two years, with the possibility of extension. =20
