POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION
Center for Visual Science, University of Rochester
Cortical Mechanisms of Visual Perception and Memory

Postdoctoral research position is available immediately to study the
contribution of selected extrastriate visual cortical areas to visual
perception in nonhuman primates. The focus of this research is on
processing and storage of visual motion information. Experimental
approaches used in these studies include: psychophysics, single unit
recordings, microstimulation as well as inactivation of localized cortical
regions in monkeys performing behavioral tasks. Preference will be
given to candidates with experience in both visual psychophysics and
single unit recordings in awake monkeys, although candidates with
strong background in related disciplines of systems neuroscience are
welcome to apply.

Salary and benefits are competitive. For further information contact
