POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION
- RETINAL LIPID METABOLISM
Studies focus on lipids/antioxidants in patients with retinal degenerations
and an in vitro retinal culture system.
The biochemistry laboratory of the Retina Foundation of the Southwest
conducts other studies in collaboration with Dr. David Birch (clinical,
electrophysiological and genetic studies of retinal degenerations) and Dr.
Eileen Birch (role of dietary fatty acids in infant visual maturation).
Candidates should have a recent Ph.D. in biochemistry/neurosciences. Start
date is Summer, 1997; salary conforms to NIH guidelines. Send letter of
