A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Laboratory of
Daniel Green at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Current research
is aimed at understanding the synaptic mechanisms which control retinal
sensitivity in a rod dominated mammalian retina. We are using an isolated
rat retina preparation to study the physiological mechanisms which cause
thresholds to be elevated, responses to speed-up, and dynamic range to be
modified. Candidates should have training in electrophysiology at the
cellular level and an interest in (or experience with) visual
