POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT:
Postdoctoral Fellowship in sensory processing in developmental
dyslexia
A three year postdoctoral position is available at the Georgetown
Institute for Cognitive and Computational Sciences. The institute
consists of a variety of laboratories in the field of cognitive
neuroscience conducting animal and human research. Facilities
include a state of the art, research dedicated 1.5 Tesla human MRI
system, a 7 Tesla animal system and an optical imaging system.
The postdoctoral position is in Guinevere EdenUs laboratory and
financial support is provided by the Charles A. Dana Foundation. The
laboratory utilizes behavioural testing and functional magnetic
resonance imaging (fMRI) to study human sensory processing in
health and disease. The successful candidate will be involved in the
study of visual, auditory and language processing in individuals with
developmental dyslexia.
Special consideration will be given to candidates with prior
experience in neurophysiology, psychophysiology or cognitive
neuroscience. Experience in neuroimaging would be helpful but not
necessary.
Length of Appointment: January 1st, 1997 until December 30th,
1999.
Benefits: Full-time employees receive full benefits.
Salary: beginning at $28,500 per year.
