Postdoctoral Position in Visual Neurophysiology and Perception
Starting in 1997, a postdoctoral position will be available in the
Department of Neuroscience at Brown University to study the neural basis of
visual perception. The research involves single cell recordings from
anesthetized cats and awake monkeys as well as human psychophysics.
Applicant should have either neuroscience research experience or experience
in human psychophysics and an interest in physiological research. Recent
publications from the lab are:
Rossi, Rittenhouse, and Paradiso (1996). The representation of brightness
in primary visual cortex. Science 273: 1104-1107.
Paradiso and Hahn (1996). Filling-in percepts produced by luminance
modulation. Vision Research 36: 2657-2663.
Rossi and Paradiso (1996). Temporal limits of brightness induction and
mechanisms of brightness perception. Vision Research 36: 1391-1398.

attention. Vision Research 35: 621-634.
