POST-DOCTORAL POSITION IN VISUAL DEVELOPMENT AND PLASTICITY
(Interviews available at Society for Neuroscience meetings in Washington D.C.)
Post-doctoral position is available to study cellular and molecular mechanisms
of development and plasticity in the mammalian visual system. Particular
research questions include: 1) nitric oxide in retinal function; 2) post-natal
development and plasticity of parallel visual pathways (retina to cortex). The
University of Louisville has a strong (and growing) Visual Science and
Neuroscience community. The position is one of several available in the
"Program in Developmental and Molecular Neuroscience". Experience in one or
more of the following areas is desired: molecular techniques, histochemistry,
immunohistochemistry, quantitative microscopy, neurophysiology. Salary is
commensurate with experience. Applications must include: statement of research

references. Dr. Petry will be available to meet with candidates Sun-Tues
Nov. 17-19) at the Society for Neuroscience meetings in Washington D.C.
