POST DOC AT UMIST - VISUAL SCIENCES LAB

Glare and vision during driving

A one-year post doctoral position is available immediately to investigate the link
between eye muscle spasm, visual performance and glare during driving. The visual
environment will be analysed using image processing techniques and the electrical
activity of the eye muscles and pupillary responses will be measured using simple
signal analysis techniques.

Applicants should be familar with 'C' or an equivalent portable language and have an
understanding of basic aspects of visual physiology. Familiarity with any form of
electrophysiology such as evoked potential techniques would be a big plus.
