Dear Colleagues,

Four years ago I solicited recommendations from you for textbooks for an
introductory graduate-level course on visual perception. Many of you
responded, and I posted a compilation of your recommendations. The
compilation can be viewed at

Now I would like to update the list. I'm collecting new recommendations for
books that have appeared since January 1993. If you have any suggestions,
please send them to me at marshall@cs.unc.edu by August 15. I will post the
