We are seeking an engineer to write software and manage
hardware in a small neurophysiology research laboratory.
Experiments are conducted using Intel-based personal
computers in concert with standard neurophysiological
electronics apparatus. Primary responsibilities will include:
1) extending and maintaining existing software written in C,
running in a real-time Unix environment (QNX) on a PC
platform, 2) writing new graphics display software for use
in experiments, 3) interfacing PC computers with laboratory
electronics apparatus, and 4) managing and trouble-shooting
electrophysiology rigs. In addition to familiarity with C and
Unix, knowledge of PC hardware, experience with graphics
programming, and some facility with interfacing software
and hardware (i.e. A/D and D/A boards) would be highly desirable.
Additional duties involving light system administration
of unix workstations, PC's and MacIntosh computers may
be included as time permits. Salary is negotiable depending
