Research Assistant / Programmer University of Pennsylvania

A full-time job as research assistant and programmer is available in the Human Vision Lab at the University of Pennsylvania. The lab conducts experiments using advanced computer graphics to study the human perception of 3-dimensional object structure (shape, depth, etc.) and the visual control of motor behavior. Responsibilities include programming (primarily C in a Unix environment) and some system maintenance. Experience programming in C is necessary and some experience in computer vision or computer graphics is helpful. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. The position is ideal for a recent college graduate who is interested in working in a basic research environment for a year or two before entering graduate school, though that is not a pre-requisite. Interested applicants should write to Dr. David Knill, Dept. of Psychology, 3815 Walnut St., Philadelphia, Pa. 19104 or by e-mail at knill@cattell.psych.upenn.edu. The University of Pennsylvania is an equal opportunity employer.
